Approach
Standardized tests do not measure intelligence or ability. They measure a specific set of skills, and these skills are learnable. This is why there is actually no such thing as a bad test taker- there are students who innately have this set of skills, and there are students who need to learn this set of skills. I work with students to identify and then learn the skills they’re currently lacking. My students who are willing to change the way they take the test by applying their new skills on test day see substantial score improvement.
